I first started taking photographs in the late 60’s as a teenager. The usual first shots, not thought out, just what I saw around me. By the mid 70’s I found myself trapped in the fascination of image making and seemed to have a point of departure. I entered college and studied photography and sculpture, my passion for both landscape and tones having been ignited. At this stage I was following the pursuits of black and white image making all dished out on fiberbased papers with the usual archival treatments. I followed this approach, only using colour for commercial imaging, for nearly 30 years. It wasn’t until 2000 that I bought my first digital camera and started creating coloured images. My passion lies in nature and form, with tonal gradation playing a major part in my end resultant images. I hope you, the viewer, get as much enjoyment viewing as I did creating these galleries of photographs.
